About Apex One
Prop up your phone and Apex One counts every rep with your camera while coaching you out loud. It supports strength training and guided rehab, and is built in Calgary for users worldwide.
What Apex One does
Apex One uses a phone camera to count full-range repetitions, score form from 0–100, and provide spoken coaching during workouts. It also offers guided recovery programs for common aches and injuries, intended for use between physiotherapy sessions. The product addresses the lack of counting and coaching when people train alone, while providing tools to track workouts and progress. Recovery programs are not medical advice and do not replace a physiotherapist or doctor.
A user signs up for a monthly or yearly membership, signs in, and props up a phone. A guided first workout helps position the phone and checks that the user is in frame. The camera tracks relevant joints on the device; full-range repetitions are counted and scored for range, tempo, balance, and steadiness. A coach speaks cues aloud with captions. The adaptive daily plan progresses or deloads, while the product records counts and scores, charts progress, and offers guided recovery programs with pain checks.
Apex One is for people who train alone and want rep counting and coaching without a trainer, as well as people doing recovery exercises between physiotherapy sessions. It runs in a phone browser on iPhone and Android, with an option to add it to the home screen. Training video stays on the phone, and recovery programs are explicitly described as not being medical advice or a replacement for professional care.
