How to pick the directories worth your time

Rank your shortlist by two things: authority (the DR column) and relevance(does this directory's audience actually overlap with your buyers?). A DR 80 general directory and a DR 45 directory built specifically for your niche can both be excellent — for different reasons. The first lends SEO weight; the second sends people who are already looking for what you sell.

A nofollow link does not pass that authority, but it still earns you referral traffic and brand visibility (think Product Hunt or Hacker News: nofollow, but enormous reach). For pure link building, prioritise dofollow from the highest-DR sites. For launches and eyeballs, the big nofollow platforms still matter.
