Directories are boring. I built a city.
I'm ghosty— the one person behind SaaSCity. Not a "team," not a faceless brand. An indie builder who ships SaaS and iOS apps and got tired of directories that are just spreadsheets with a paywall.
How this happened
Years ago the Million Dollar Homepagelodged in my brain — one page, a thousand little squares, everyone owning a pixel of something. I always wanted to build an online city you could actually walk around. Then I fell down the rabbit hole of SaaS directories. So I did the obvious unreasonable thing: I mashed all three together into a directory that's a living, isometric city instead of a list.
Here's the honest part most "about" pages won't tell you: I built it to promote my own projects.It was a selfish tool first. The side effect surprised me — over the months, real founders started submitting their own products, and it turned into an actual directory with an audience. That's the whole origin. No grand mission deck.
Why you can trust the data
The thing I refuse to fake is the numbers. Every one of the 124 directories I rank is sorted by a live Ahrefs Domain Rating feed — not a hand-typed list that went stale in 2023 (last refresh: 2026-06-14). The DR checker pulls real Ahrefs data. The comparison pagestell you where competitors beat us, because pretending otherwise is how you lose trust. If a number is on this site, it's real or it isn't here.
What I actually do
I ship. SaaS, and lately a lot of iOS apps — that's where my head is right now. Background in crypto and AI, a working obsession with SEO and directories (which is why SaaSCity exists), and I build in public. SaaSCity is one of my products that happened to grow legs.
