About Engineering on Web
Engineering on Web is a free suite of engineering tools that runs entirely in the browser, with nothing to install and no account required. Three apps work as one workflow: design a part in CAD, simulate it in FEA, then monitor production quality in Analysis.
CAD is a parametric 3D modeler with sketches, constraints, assemblies and technical drawings, exporting STL, STEP, IGES and DXF. Its AI assistant models by text or voice. FEA solves structural, thermal, fluid and electromagnetic problems with WebAssembly and WebGPU solvers. Analysis covers SPC control charts, process capability, design of experiments and a SCADA screen generator.
Everything is computed on your own computer, so your data stays with you. Available in 10 languages, free for students, teachers, engineers and makers.
What Engineering on Web does
Engineering on Web is a browser-based suite of engineering tools for mechanical design, simulation, industrial process analysis, and electronic board design. Its CAD tool creates parametric 3D parts and technical drawings; FEA analyzes geometry using finite element simulation; Analysis provides industrial statistics and SCADA generation; and PCB supports schematic and circuit-board design. The tools address different stages of engineering and production work, and users can use one tool or combine them in a project workflow.
Users open the tools in a browser without installing software. In CAD, they create constrained sketches, build parts and assemblies, and export formats such as STEP or STL. In FEA, they generate a mesh, choose physics, and solve while viewing a live convergence graph. Analysis works with process data for statistical charts and SCADA generation. PCB users draw schematics, place and route components, check design rules, and download manufacturing files. The site says its geometry kernel and solvers run in the browser using WebAssembly and WebGPU.
The suite is for people working on mechanical parts, engineering simulations, industrial production and quality, or electronic circuit boards. The page describes workflows for designing and validating a mechanical part, analyzing production data, preparing a PCB, and combining PCB, CAD, and FEA in a complete product workflow. Its notable distinction is that the tools run in a browser across Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chromebook, with an interface offered in ten languages.
