Most submissions in this category are a layer over someone else’s model, which is fine as long as the layer does something the raw model does not. The listings that collect votes name the model they run on, say roughly what a request costs them, and link to something you can try before making an account. The ones that stall open with a paragraph about how AI is changing everything.
Two questions decide whether a visitor trusts an AI listing, and both get skipped constantly. Does it work on my input, and what happens to my input afterwards. If your tool eats documents, chat logs, or source code, put one sentence somewhere on your page saying whether that data is stored or used for training. People ask anyway; answering first is cheaper.
Credit pricing is normal here because token costs are real, but a credit price with no anchor tells nobody anything. If a plan is 500 credits for $19, say what one credit buys: one image, one page of transcript, one repository scan. Founders comparing two AI tools cannot compare credits, so the one that translates them wins the comparison by default.
Yes. A wrapper with a clear job, a working interface, and honest pricing is a product, and plenty of profitable ones started that way. What does not survive review is a page with no product behind it, since a reviewer clicks the link the same way a visitor does.
Pick the one your buyer would browse. An AI writing tool sold to marketers usually does better in Marketing, where visitors already have the problem it solves. AI is the right home when the model or the infrastructure is the product: an API, an agent framework, an inference or eval tool.
Go narrower than your competition. "AI meeting notes for clinics" is something a person searches for; "AI assistant for your business" is not. After that it comes down to proof. A screenshot of real output, a public changelog, or a named customer does more than another round of adjectives.
