Listing guide
Software review sites, checked from the vendor side
Sixteen places a SaaS company can get listed and reviewed, from G2 and Capterra to Trustpilot. For each one we read the vendor pages and rules on October 7, 2026, and inspected what a real profile links to.

The short answer
For most B2B SaaS, start with G2 and Capterra: both list software for free, and since G2 bought the other three from Gartner in 2026 (announced January 29, completed by June), one G2 account manages G2, Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice. Add TrustRadius and Gartner Peer Insights for enterprise buyers, and Trustpilot only for consumer apps. Do not expect backlinks: in our October 2026 check, only Gartner Peer Insights and a verified SaaSHub listing gave a free profile a followed link, and free G2 and Capterra profiles had no link to the vendor at all.
At a glance
How to choose review sites as a vendor
Choose by who your buyers are and ignore Domain Rating. G2 and Capterra both sit above DR 90 in our directory dataset, yet neither gives a free profile a link, so the rating says little about what you get.
Claim fewer sites and send every customer to one of them. Empty profiles do little, and two sites set them to noindex: TrustRadius when we checked, and G2 in the archived copies we read.
- Small and mid-size buyers: G2, Capterra and GetApp, then SaaSHub and SourceForge.
- Enterprise buyers: G2, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights and, later, PeerSpot.
- Developer and IT tools: G2, SourceForge and SaaSHub.
- Consumer apps: Trustpilot and SaaSHub. G2 does not list B2C products.

Four sites, one owner since mid-2026 and one seller login. Claim G2 and Capterra in the same sitting; GetApp and Software Advice run on the same account.
G2
DR 91B2B review marketplace Free; Starter $299 a month No linkG2 says it reaches 100M+ software buyers, and since mid-2026 it also owns Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice. As of October 2026 the free plan covers a profile, basic review collection and the Users Love Us badge (20 reviews averaging 4.0 stars); Starter costs $299 a month, and G2 Clicks pay-per-click has a $500 monthly minimum. A Grid report needs 10 reviews in a category.
G2 rejects B2C, alpha and beta products and allows gift cards up to $100 that do not depend on the rating. G2 served our checker a CAPTCHA, so its link check uses Internet Archive copies. Our G2 review has the plans and rules.
- How to get in
- Claim or add the product from G2's Find your product page; G2 quotes 3 to 5 business days for its check. Start here
- The link
- Free: no link. Paid: a form through G2's tracker, rel="nofollow noopener".

- B2B SaaS with customers who will review it

A paid G2 profile, archived October 1, 2026. Capterra
DR 91Software marketplace, G2 Digital Markets Free; pay per click, rates unpublished No linkCapterra says it has 2.5M+ verified reviews and 50M+ users a year. Its transparency page says a profile is free; the money comes from sponsored profiles paid per click and from leads its advisors qualify, at rates it does not publish as of October 2026.
It refuses waitlist-only products, takes a beta only if it gathers a review in its first calendar year and bans AI-written reviews. Incentives must be nominal and go through the vendor portal link. Our Capterra review has the details.

Its Get listed link opens G2's form and its account link goes to the G2 Digital Markets login. By its own numbers it counts 2.5M+ reviews and 45,000+ products. Capterra's pay-per-click program covers it, and as of October 2026 the sponsored Visit Website button was a span with no link.

Where SaaSCity fits
SaaSCity is our own directory and not a review site, so it replaces none of the sites above. It fills the gap they leave: review sites want a public product and real customers first, and most give no followed link. SaaSCity gives a new SaaS a Monday launch week (15 free slots a week), a permanent listing page and a link that turns dofollow once our badge is on your homepage; Quick Pass ($19.99) skips the queue and the badge after a human review, on a DR 66 domain. Launch with us, then send your first users to your G2 review link.
Enterprise review sites
Worth it once enterprise customers are on board. Two of the three can give you a followed link, and all three ask more of reviewers.
TrustRadius
DR 85B2B reviews, now HG Customer Voice Free; paid plans by demo Sometimes followedTrustRadius now sells its vendor plans as HG Customer Voice, part of HG Insights, with no paid price printed as of October 2026. The free profile covers features, pricing, videos and award eligibility; the button to your website is paid. On the paid profiles we checked it was a direct, server-rendered link with rel="noopener noreferrer", so it is followed.
Reviewers sign in with LinkedIn or a work email, AI-authored reviews are refused and gift cards must be disclosed and never tied to sentiment.
- How to get in
- Claim a free profile from solutions.trustradius.com/claim-your-profile. Start here
- The link
- Free: no link. Paid: a direct, followed vendor button.
- Best for
- Mid-market and enterprise SaaS

A paid TrustRadius profile, October 7, 2026. - Enterprise reviews, run by Gartner Free Dofollow
Peer Insights stayed with Gartner when Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice went to G2. It is free for vendors and counts 1.2M+ monthly visits and 895K+ reviews, by its own numbers.
The catch is eligibility. As of October 2026 its guidelines say a product must be sold to mid-size and large enterprises. Reviewers need a corporate email that matches their employer, and vendor incentives are capped at $25. Wrike's and Jira's profiles linked to the vendor with rel="noopener noreferrer", a followed link in the server HTML.
- How to get in
- Open a free vendor account in the Peer Insights vendor portal and request your market. Start here

SourceForge
DR 93Software directory, plus Slashdot Free; paid plans by inquiry No linkSourceForge takes free listings through a request form and says each one also appears on Slashdot and Top Business Software, with over 20 million buyers a month (its figure, citing SimilarWeb). Paid plans carry no printed prices as of October 2026. The link is worth less than its DR suggests: Notion's free listing showed the URL as plain text and paid Visit Website buttons go through a /software/link redirect with rel="nofollow". Free pages also carry competitor ads.

- Fill in the request form at sourceforge.net/software/vendors/new. Start here
- The link
- Free: plain text. Paid: a nofollow redirect.
- Best for
- IT, ops and developer tools

DR 80Alternatives and comparison site Free; featured $99 a month Sometimes followedAn alternatives site built around "[tool] alternatives" pages. Verification is free with a domain email, and a featured listing costs $99 a month as of October 2026. Our SaaSHub review covers verification.
- How to get in
- Submit at saashub.com/services/submit, then verify with an email on your domain. Start here

Paid plans start at $99 a month per domain on Starter, then $319 and $799, billed annually on a 12-month contract as of October 2026. Its rules are the strictest here: no incentives of any kind and no picking which customers to invite, or you risk a Consumer Warning on your profile.

A 7-step order of work for a new SaaS
- Before launch, wait Capterra refuses waitlist-only products, SaaSHub rejects unreleased ones and G2 skips alpha and beta. Use launch directories until you have a public trial.
- Launch week: claim G2 Claim or add the product and fill in the profile. The same account manages Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice.
- Same week: the free extras Claim Capterra, then submit to SaaSHub (and verify it), SourceForge, Crozdesk and SoftwareSuggest. One form each.
- First customers: one review link Send every customer, not only the happy ones, to one site. Keep any gift card under that site's cap and the same for every rating.
- At 10 reviews, check G2 Ten reviews in a category is G2's bar for a Grid report, and 20 averaging 4.0 stars earns the Users Love Us badge.
- First enterprise logos: the enterprise sites Add TrustRadius and Gartner Peer Insights, which gives enterprise products a free followed link. PeerSpot wants 10 enterprise customers.
- Last: paid placements Treat G2 Clicks ($500 a month minimum), Capterra pay-per-click and SoftwareSuggest packages as paid acquisition and judge them on cost per trial. None buys a followed link.
Review collection rules that get vendors penalized
The same few habits get vendors penalized everywhere, and the penalties are public: G2 can put a warning banner on your profile, Capterra a Buyer Alert and Trustpilot a Consumer Warning. Avoid these, as of October 2026.
- Inviting only happy customers. G2, Capterra, Gartner Peer Insights and Trustpilot ban selective invitations.
- Rewards tied to the rating. The caps differ: $100 a review on G2, $25 on Gartner Peer Insights, a "nominal" amount on Capterra and nothing at all on Trustpilot.
- Paying outside the site's system. Capterra and SourceForge want rewards sent through their vendor portal link, and G2 wants yours disclosed.
- Reviews from your staff or a competitor's. Banned on G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights, PeerSpot and SourceForge, among others.
- Coaching or AI-written reviews. Capterra bans both; G2 allows AI drafting only for LinkedIn-verified, invited-list or in-app reviewers.
- Tracking reviewers. Gartner Peer Insights rejects reviews when the vendor can identify the reviewer.
What the links are worth for SEO
Less than the domain ratings suggest. In our October 2026 check only two sites gave a free profile a followed link: Gartner Peer Insights and, once a listing is verified, SaaSHub. TrustRadius adds one on paid profiles. Elsewhere the link is nofollow, sponsored, plain text, a JavaScript button or missing. G2's paid button is a form through its click tracker, and the Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice buttons have no href.
The value is the buyer who reads your reviews before a demo, and the AI assistants that read the same pages: G2 says its reviews are cited five times more often in AI answers, by its own count. Get links from launch directories, communities and your own content, and use review sites for proof. Our dofollow vs nofollow guide shows how to check a profile yourself.
FAQ
- What are the best software review sites for a SaaS vendor?
- For most B2B SaaS, G2 first, then Capterra and GetApp on the same G2 account. Add TrustRadius and Gartner Peer Insights for enterprise buyers and Trustpilot only for consumer apps. SaaSHub, SourceForge and Crozdesk are free extras.
- Are G2 and Capterra free for vendors?
- Yes. As of October 2026 both offer a free profile. G2's paid plans start at $299 a month (Starter); Capterra sells pay-per-click and pay-per-lead programs without published rates.
- Which software review sites give a dofollow backlink?
- In our October 2026 check, Gartner Peer Insights on free profiles, SaaSHub on verified listings and TrustRadius on paid profiles. Free G2, Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice profiles had no link at all, and Crozdesk, GoodFirms and Trustpilot use nofollow.
- Is Capterra still part of Gartner?
- No. G2 agreed to buy Capterra, Software Advice and GetApp from Gartner in January 2026 and by June called them G2 Digital Markets. Gartner Peer Insights was not part of the sale and is still free for vendors.
- Can you give customers gift cards for software reviews?
- On most B2B sites, yes, as of October 2026, if the reward is the same for every rating and disclosed. G2 caps it at $100 a review and Gartner Peer Insights at $25, and Capterra wants its portal link used. Trustpilot allows no incentives.
- How many reviews do you need before a review site is worth it?
- Ten is a useful first target: as of October 2026 it is G2's bar for a Grid report. Profiles with zero reviews were noindex on TrustRadius, and on G2 in the archived copies we read.
- Should a consumer app be on G2 or Capterra?
- As of October 2026, G2 does not list B2C products, and Capterra excludes personal productivity tools and personal apps. For a consumer app, Trustpilot is the review site to claim, and it forbids incentives of any kind.
- Does SaaSCity collect reviews?
- No. SaaSCity is our own launch directory: a launch week (15 free slots a week), a permanent listing page and a dofollow link once our badge is on your homepage, or without it on Quick Pass ($19.99).
