The short answer
Partly. Microlaunch has a free queue, but as of October 2026 it does not publish how long the wait is. Its launch button shows signed-out visitors only Launch Pro: $39 (shown against $49) to skip the queue and pick your date; we could not see the free option without an account, though free listings still appear. Each launch runs as a 30-day campaign on a monthly leaderboard, and products are onboarded between the 1st and 15th of the month. Every product page we checked, free or paid, linked to the product with a direct, followed link.

What Microlaunch is
Microlaunch is a launch platform built around a month rather than a day. Each launch is a 30-day campaign. Products rank on a monthly leaderboard with a weekly view and separate business and consumer tabs, and one product a day gets the Product of the Day spot. Voters give each product an Idea and a Product rating, and a vote can carry feedback or a roast.
Its terms of use name Stimpack SAS, a company in Paris, as the operator. Its rules point questions to Saïd on X. When we checked, the homepage counted 150 products for October 2026 and a live counter showed just over 1,000 daily visitors.
Its audience numbers need care. The stats block on its pricing page says 30k+ unique visitors a month, last updated August 2026, while the FAQ on the same page says 150,000+ a month. Both are Microlaunch's own figures, and they do not match.
Is Microlaunch dofollow?
Yes, as of October 2026, on free listings as well as Pro. The Visit Website button on a Microlaunch product page links straight to your site with ?ref=microlaunch added. It carries rel="noopener noreferrer" with no nofollow and sits in the server-rendered HTML.
Microlaunch's page data marks each product as premium or not, so we could compare the two. On October 7, 2026 we read 69 product pages: 61 marked premium (60 of them linked from the homepage) and 8 marked as not premium, such as CheaperInference. All 69 had the same direct, followed link. None had a robots noindex, and none set a canonical tag at all.
Microlaunch sells the do-follow backlink as a Launch Pro benefit and advertises it as "DR64+", its own figure. On the page we saw no difference between free and paid listings, so a free listing with a followed link is what we observed, not something Microlaunch promises. None of the non-premium products appeared on the October leaderboard shown on the homepage.

Is Microlaunch free? Pricing
Prices as printed on microlaunch.net/premium on October 7, 2026. Each paid card shows a lower price next to a struck-through one and a discount code.
The FAQ on the same page still quotes Pro Launch at $49, so check the price at checkout. The launch window offers open-source projects and students 50% off, and the premium page allows relaunches for major feature releases.

How to launch on Microlaunch
Launching needs an account, and the form sits behind it. These steps come from the public launch window, its rules and the field labels the form uses, as of October 2026.
- Sign up Create an account from Signup in the top bar. You need one to submit, and only signed-in users can vote.
- Pick how to launch New Launch opens a Pick your Launch window. Signed out, it offers only Pro Launch, which skips the queue so you can go live now or schedule a date. To take the free route, sign up first and open New Launch again: we could not see the free option without an account, but free launches do still go through: the homepage data we read marked 44 of 196 products as not premium, the newest added on October 5, 2026.
- Describe the product The form asks for your logo, a hero image and screenshots (up to 5 MB each), your pricing model (free, subscription, one-time or lifetime), your ideal customer, your stage and the help you want. Goals and exit plans stay private.
- Add a deal if you have one You can attach a coupon or a lifetime deal, which shows in Microlaunch's deals marketplace.
- Wait for onboarding Products are onboarded between the 1st and 15th of the month and then rank for that month.
- Collect votes and feedback Votes come with idea and product ratings and optional feedback or a roast. Microlaunch says makers who promote their own launch do better, and bots are banned.
Where SaaSCity fits next to Microlaunch
If the open-ended queue is the problem, SaaSCity, our own directory, ties a free listing to a Monday launch: it takes the first Monday with one of 15 free slots open. Its link turns dofollow once our badge is on your homepage, and Quick Pass ($19.99) skips the queue and the badge after a human review, live within 24 hours on a DR 66 domain. We have no monthly leaderboard or deals marketplace, so Microlaunch still adds a month of votes if you launch on both.
Microlaunch rules
From the rules window on microlaunch.net, as of October 2026.
Rankings run for a month
Products rank over one month, and new products are onboarded between the 1st and 15th.
Two products a month per maker
Makers can submit several products, but no more than two rank in the same month.
One vote per product per month
Only signed-in users can vote, once per product each month. Upvotes are only part of the final ranking.
Roasts count
A vote can carry feedback or a roast. The rules say roasts tend to lower your product score while raising your final rank.
No bots
Bots are not allowed on the platform.
Is Microlaunch worth it?
Yes, if you will pay for Launch Pro. For $39 you choose the date and get a month on the board, a followed link from an indexable product page and a spot in its deals marketplace. That is a fair price for a dated launch, and the monthly format suits makers who cannot rally votes inside 24 hours.
The free route is hard to plan around. Microlaunch does not say how long the queue is, and its launch window shows no free option until you sign up. Free launches do still go through: the homepage data we read marked 44 of 196 products as not premium, the newest added on October 5, 2026. The leaderboard we sampled held only paid launches. If you go free, assume a wait and do not build a launch day around it.
Read its numbers with care. Two audience figures on the same page differ fivefold, and the do-follow link it sells as a Pro perk showed up on free listings too.
