Peerlist Launchpad review: how the weekly launch works
Peerlist Launchpad costs nothing, but it wants a verified personal profile and it links out sparingly. We read its help center and checked 15 project pages on October 7, 2026.

The short answer
Peerlist Launchpad is a free weekly launch for builders: as of October 2026, it opens every Monday from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm UTC and projects compete for the rest of the week. You need a verified personal profile and a project filled in to 100%, and company profiles and SEO agencies are not allowed. A Featured Launch starts at $29 for a day at the top of its Scroll feed. Only the week's top five get a link to their site, a Visit button marked [rel="ugc"](/glossary#rel-ugc), so it is not a dofollow backlink.

What Peerlist Launchpad is
Peerlist calls itself the professional network for builders to show and tell: a work profile and portfolio, a feed called Scroll and a jobs board. Its homepage counts 259,616+ peers and its ad page claims 52K+ monthly active users, both its own numbers.
Launchpad is the weekly launch board inside it. The window opens every Monday at 12:00 am UTC and closes at 11:59 pm, and projects launched that day stay in the running all week. On Monday and Tuesday the list is shuffled so every launch gets seen. After that it is ranked on upvotes, comments, views, link visits and overall traction, with extra weight for verified profiles.
The top three of the week get a badge on their profile and a feature in Peerlist's newsletter and social channels. Coding projects, design work and digital products such as ebooks, Notion templates and UI kits can all launch.
Is Peerlist Launchpad dofollow?
No. As of October 2026, a Peerlist project page links to your site only while the project is in the week's top five, through a Visit button marked rel="ugc", which asks Google not to pass ranking credit. Projects ranked sixth or lower show no Visit button at all.
We opened 15 project pages from weeks 36, 38, 40 and the live week 41 on October 7, 2026. All eight in their week's top five had a Visit button with rel="ugc", pointing straight at the product with ?ref=peerlist&utm_source=peerlist added. None of the seven ranked sixth or lower had one; their only outbound links were typed into the description and marked rel="noreferrer nofollow ugc". In the live week the button sat on whichever projects were in the top five at that moment.
That matches Peerlist's FAQ, which says only the top five projects of the week are awarded a backlink, though it does not say the link is ugc. Project pages are indexable and self-canonical, so the page can still rank for your product's name. The paid Featured Launch card uses a button, not a crawlable link. One exception: a project marked open source shows a link to its GitHub repository, and on the page we checked it carried no nofollow.

Peerlist Launchpad pricing
Launching is free. What Peerlist sells is attention around a launch, and its ad page prints the prices. As of October 2026:
Single weekly ads: Launchpad Feed $129, Side Panel Widget $199, Scroll Banner $149 and Jobs List Banner $99. Ads are reviewed before they run, with a full refund if Peerlist declines one. For a Featured Launch the ad page shows only the starting price.

How to launch on Peerlist Launchpad
There is no submission form to fill in. You launch a project that already sits on your Peerlist profile, following the steps in Peerlist's help center as of October 2026.
- Set up a personal profile Use your real name and a profile photo; a profile dressed as a company with a brand name and logo gets suspended. It has to be at least 70% complete to go public.
- Verify the profile Verify your current workplace with a work email for free (student emails do not count) or your identity with a government ID through Stripe for a one-time fee. Launchpad only takes verified profiles.
- Add the project at 100% On your Work tab, click New project and fill in the name, tagline, project URL, up to four cover images, a video link, tech stack, category and description. Below 100%, the launch fails.
- Launch on Monday or schedule it On Monday, between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm UTC, open peerlist.io/launchpad, click Launch and pick the project; it goes live at once, with no review queue. On other days, open the project and choose Schedule Launch instead.
- Work the week Answer comments and share the link outside Peerlist. Messaging strangers for upvotes, reposting the link on Scroll and asking for votes under other posts count as spam.

Where SaaSCity fits next to Peerlist
SaaSCity, our own directory, lists the product itself, so a company can submit without a verified personal profile. Like Peerlist it launches on Mondays: a free listing takes the first Monday with one of 15 free slots open, so both can go live the same week. Its link turns dofollow once our badge is on your homepage, or Quick Pass ($19.99) skips the queue and the badge after a human review. Each listing keeps a permanent page and a building on our city map on a DR 66 domain. We have no builder profile or feed, which is what Peerlist does well.
Peerlist Launchpad rules worth knowing
From its Launchpad guidelines and FAQ, as of October 2026.
Individuals only
Only personal profiles with a valid name and photo can launch. SEO marketing agencies that launch for clients are suspended immediately.
Only real comments count
Comments help your ranking only when they say something. Votes from verified profiles weigh more.
What gets removed
Peerlist removes products that are unsafe, copied or not yours, as well as NSFW, betting and gambling products. A launch from a company profile is removed too, and repeat violations suspend the profile.
Is Peerlist Launchpad worth it?
Yes, for a developer tool, an open-source project or a design resource you want engineers to see. It is free and a launch stays in the running for a week, while the shuffled first two days take the pressure off launch-hour timing. By its own ad page more than half the audience are software engineers, so the feedback comes from people who build.
It is a poor pick for links. Only five projects a week get one and it is marked ugc. Everyone else gets a project page with no link to their site, so count traffic, comments and followers as the return.
Verification is the real gate. Without a work email at a current employer you pay for ID verification. A company account cannot launch at all, so plan on a founder's own profile.
Good fit
- Developer tools, libraries and open-source projects
- Designers sharing Figma files, plugins or UI kits
- Solo makers who already keep a Peerlist profile
- A week of feedback from engineers
Skip it if
- You need a dofollow backlink
- The launch has to come from a company account
- Your buyers do not work in tech
